Ask
nanny
(Frequently asked questions)
Q. You’re a dog nanny, but would you take care of a non-dog pet?
A. Yes, and I frequently do. Our client base includes dogs, cats, rats,
rabbits, iguanas and other interesting life forms—just not spiders.
Q. You don’t list an address. Why is that?
A. Since clients don’t come to my home and my home is difficult
to find, it’s not necessary to advertise an address. The main reason
pet sitters don’t advertise an address is to prevent animal dumping.
Animal dumping quickly becomes time consuming and expensive. But more
importantly, it can prove to be very dangerous for both the sitter and
the animal. I don’t tell a lot of people when I’m not going
to be home for days at a time. A dumped animal could easily die on my
doorstep waiting for help and I would have no way of knowing about an
animal in crisis.
