They have great prices on cat condo and dog and cat toys. They have a good selection of treats, food and novelty items. The store is cramped, the parking can get miserably, but the staff is wonderful and they special order.

Pet Club
Westborough Plaza

Accepted: cash, checks and ATM
Good selection of treats, toys and food for dogs and cats. The savings here is dry food in large quantities. They also sell rodents, birds, fish and crickets. The store is big, clean and easy to drive a shopping cart through. Pets are welcome on leash, or 'contained.' Parking is easy and plentiful. The staff is friendly, generally speaking. They will special order, but it will not be cheap.

Noe Valley Pet Company
Church Street, (on the corner of Army[Cesar Chavez] & Church) SF

This is a wonderful, little, upscale pet 'boutique' without pretension. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The selection of gift items for the dog or cat who has everything is fun and functional. The treats are fresh, and according to my kids and clients--everything is delicious. There are cheerful water dishes, colorful food dishes, first rate grooming products, and a collar and leash for every dog's taste.

Parking can be a challenge.

  ON THE GO FOR YOU:

Between the Thomasville store and the taco bell, going south on El Camino is the driveway for Eastwood insurance, Round table pizza and Royal Donuts. It's a tight right turn into the parking lot, a tight right in the lot and then a sharp left to drive around the building and into the Donut drive up window. If you are on your way to Ft. Fun and need a coffee jolt or a little sugar buzz, early in the morning, this is the place to go. my favorite is the drive thru window at Jim and Kim's Royal Donuts, at 551 El Camino Real, S.SF. The drive thru is a little tricky your first time, but it's worth it.

My standing favorite is the double mocha and chocolate, custard donut holes. I suggest three donut holes. Two isn't quite enough to hold you til lunch and four is too much custard.
